And Here I Stand - Jones

Hello. I've struggled this month. Really couldn't get to grips with the race war/anger/rage of the lyrics and feel of this song, and encountered a busy period at work (and an 'annual' review where, although in the best part very positive, I was certainly 'encouraged' to spend less time doing my own illustration/web browsing when there's work to do!!).

Anyway, as you know, I support Plymouth Argyle. And as you may be aware, we suck. A poor run of recent results left manager Paul Sturrock perilously close to the sack but the board love him too much and bottled sacking him. I personally think it should have happened a couple of weeks ago but now fear it is too late and we are in serious risk of relegation anyway. We might as well keep him because he's as good as anyone in the league below so if we do go down, he might be the man to get us back up.

Well he's come out and made it clear that he's not going to quit, and so here he stands.

Aaagh.

Boo hiss to your review man! It's good that you do this and keep enjoying your craft man. Ok possibly not on company time but you know… Least it's not anything seedy.

Apologies for the shuffle but yeah just means we due a good one.

Your post made me laugh, in a good way. Thinking it's not one of your best - but hey you only have yourself to blame after setting the bar so high last month. But having said that it's style a lovely illustration style. Like the facial features.

Seconded the bar too high point. Last month you did hit a serious high and so, just like football teams (spurs post carling cup last year fo shizzle), there is always going to be a slump, emotionally.

I think this is great, actually! topical, great trace, love the colours too.

Come on the spurs this afternoon. Well, at least let's hope the margin is not too great!

Ha, cheers guys. Yeah, last month was a bit of a pinnacle and I struggled with this. But I'm relatively happy, technically it's fine, just not quite such a strong concept.
Ah well...! Onwards and upwards.
